"A friend and I attended Jason's wood carving course on Sunday. We had a brilliant time. He is very knowledgeable and patient! Found out that he is skilled in metalwork, leatherwork and can offer other courses, too. Great!"

"I went on this workshop with my 13 year old daughter, we both had a great time and left at the end of the day with all two beautiful wood carvings. Jason is a good teacher and as a very good knowledge of his craft."

"The course only ended half an hour ago but wanted to say a massive thank you to Jason for a great course. He was calmly jolly, patient and funny, gave really clear but creative explanations for things (I’ll never forget not to carve underminingly into my mountains) and was encouraging without being remotely patronising or fake. I find it hard to have confidence or to learn new skills without getting frustrated but this was pitched at the ideal level and Jason accommodated everyone. The studio is easy to get to with lovely views of sunny Sheffield too. Thank you Jason and wishing you very well with your bone projects."

"Booked for my wife as a birthday present and we had a day to remember. We are both new to wood carving and were a bit apprehensive but Jason made us feel very comfortable in his workshop and taught us a lot of techniques during the day. The time went too quickly. Will be booking again."

"My 10 year daughter and her friend went to one of Jason's woodcarving workshops and loved it. They spent 5 hours learning new techniques and creating sculptures they designed themselves. Jason was good at letting the girls just get on with it, offering hints and tips along the way. I would definitely recommend it to other children or even adults. Great workshop, great tutor. "I had absolutely no prior experience with the tools involved in this kind of carving nor of creating anything so large. I learnt lots and came away with a carving I absolutely treasure. Jason was always patient, with just the right mix of 'let me show you how' and 'let me help' to get me carving confidently. I would definitely come back time and again if I could. Just being in the studio amongst Jason's own works was enough to inspire !"
