"I did Ricky's beginner day in November 2018. It was an excellent, really memorable experience and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to try glassblowing for the first time. There were three of us on the course and each of us produced three items - a paperweight, an ornament and a bauble or a decorative dish. We all got plenty of hands-on experience with 'gathering' molten glass from the furnace, shaping it, adding colour and blowing it. Ricky got us to help each other so we were kept involved and interested the whole time. I was particularly impressed with Ricky's calmness and patience. There are obviously risks using furnaces and hot glass, but Ricky kept everything really well controlled and totally safe. He created a relaxed and creative atmosphere which was great to experience. He also followed up with pictures of pur creations and 'action shots' from the workshop. I'm now really looking forward to picking up my items - they have to cool for a few days - and showing them to family and friends. I may even sign up for another workshop!"

"Being a complete novice I was nervous about the course....but I loved every minute. Ricky was funny,patient and an amazing teacher. I produced four pieces getting harder each time. I really didn’t want it to end. Nothing was to much trouble for Ricky who took time with each of us to produce a stunning piece of glass work. I have recommended this course to anyone that will listen and if you have never had a go...book this course...you really won’t regret it. "I had an absolutely brilliant day working with Ricky in his lovely studio. Ricky is a very kind, considerate teacher who patiently taught me how to create several different pieces of glass work, starting from a simple piece, getting progressively harder throughout the day. As there were only three of us on the day we all had plenty of time to get creative without any rush. I cannot praise or recommend the course highly enough, and would encourage anyone to have a go, you will be really pleased you did."

"I had a wonderful day trying my hand at glass blowing with Creative Vibes. The location is idyllic, set in outbuildings of an old Rectory House along a quiet country lane and the groups are kept small. Despite having no experience the course was very hands on, always with Ricky's calm and knowledgeable tuition. I made three pieces on the day which I never dreamt I could have created before I started. I have already been recommending the course to others!"

"I had a great day with Ricky, he's very easy going and is really clear in his instruction. He helps with colour choices and helps put your piece right when it goes awry. The studio is set in the most gorgeous location, I was a bit dubious driving up the track, but it's like a trip back in time and really easy to find. My sat nav had no problem. I made 4 things all of which I'm really happy with, even my paper weights I thought I'd have no use for I completely love Many thanks for a great day, I will surely be back!"

We have a pretty full on life with many hobbies but quite often do something a bit different to mix it up a bit and even with this, my partner described this as the 'best day out he's EVER had.' "We arrived on the day with little expectations, but were blown (no pun intended) away by Ricky’s course! Ricky is a natural teacher, he clearly knows his stuff and we created some amazing pieces. He showed us a variety of different techniques and skills, patiently guided us through the process and even sat to have lunch with us. I thought it would be much less hands on, but the day was all about us and we created everything ourselves. Without a doubt, we will be back for another go!"

"Had a very inspiring day with Ricky yesterday (11th October 2017) Instructed clearly throughout the day by Ricky on what could be done, why this has happened , we can do that approach, which was very refreshing considering working with this medium is very technical and limited to a degree, especially for a complete glass blowing 'virgin' Very fortunate to have Ricky to myself for the whole day and at no point was I under any pressure to 'perform' thanks to Ricky's laid back but also very safety conscious and professional approach to teaching throughout the day. Brilliant, fun, inspiring to learn more and fantastic value, would highly recommend having a go, you will be amazed at what can be produced in a single day. Ray White"

"Ricky put on a fantastic course, ensuring that everyone had a chance to do everything (including assisting the other people on the course). His patient approach was matched to both beginners and those with more experience, and he took pains to make sure that our pieces were really ours (i.e. no jumping in and "let me just fix that for you"). We got a lot done in just a day, and the cost includes Ricky cold-working the pieces afterwards. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone - it's an amazing experience, and there's no-one better to do it with. Can't wait to go again!"

"An amazing adventure. The two other girls booked on the course didn't turn up, so I ended up having a one-to-one glassblowing course with Ricky. It was really incredible! Ricky was extremely patient, calm and reassuring. He went through each of the steps repeatedly, making sure that you could follow/remember all the steps. Needless to say glassblowing is not as easy as it seems, but after a few tries I did seem to 'blow' better, but it is one of those things which you need to have a lot of patience with yourself. Ricky was always there to help if you couldn't 'blow' as much as you wished. I ended up making 4 pieces at the end of the day, a paperweight, a bowl, a sculpture and a vase. Ricky offered you a range of colours and pieces you could make, and I exchanged some wonderful ideas with him. I definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to try glassblowing. Once you start you'd be amazed how much you can do, and when the colours swirl in the glory hole it's truly amazing. You can make so many presents as well as things for yourself. You can also bring a friend (or two) with you and have a wonderful day with them. Do bring your own lunch though, as I didn't know you had to bring mine. It does get very hot, so it's good to wear a thin long sleeved tee-shirt, as your arms are more protected from the heat that way. Also wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be standing a lot during the day."

It was a fantastic day with one other lady, Kate, who was as interested and fascinated at the prospect of creating something with what looked like a molten alien blob. With Rickys help we created sculptural and recognisable usable pieces and the time just flew by. I would thoroughly recommend his courses and hope to be returning for a follow up day soon."
