"The kit was excellent and includes a nice variety - a pillar candle, a fragranced container candle and a rolled beeswax candle, so there are three different projects to learn. Dyes and fragrances are also included as well as a handy pan, for double boiling, and thermometer. Sarah is so generous with her knowledge. I've gone back to her to ask her many more questions since the class and she has always been very happy to help with where to get supplies and how to fix some of the problems I've encountered when experimenting with new candle ideas."

"Done the online course due to isolation events and am so glad I did. My world has been opened up to candle making! I’m new to it and want to eventually sell wax tarts. The course covers many variety of candles and the live workshop was fantastic - I felt like I was in the actual workshop with Sarah! I ordered the online candle making which included the kit (which was very generous and everything you need to get started and more). Sarah is thorough and patient, and I thought it’s great that she has Q&A after every section of the course completed. Can’t wait to do the advance course. Thank you Sarah ?"

"I absolutely loved this candle making course. I came home relaxed, informed and motivated. Sarah took the time to explain everything properly and ran the course brilliantly. We made five different types of candles and got to take everything home. The classes are small which made for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It was great value and I’d definitely do it again!"

"Candle Marking Course – 14 March – am I thoroughly enjoyed the course and felt that Sarah kept the pace of instructions and demonstrations perfectly in a relaxed atmosphere. Following the course, Sarah took the time and effort to email photographs from the day together with an informative candle making guide including a list of suggested suppliers for materials and equipment. I certainly learned a lot and came away eager and enthused to start my new hobby and will be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you."

"I spent a very pleasant afternoon at Sarah's garden workshop which was well suited to candle making. Sarah has a vast knowledge and experience and was keen to ensure we were all having fun whilst learning a new skill at the same time. With Sarah's guidance I made a variety of different candles which I am now enjoying at home. This was my first attempt at candle making and I was extremely pleased with the results."

"Went to Sarah Ditchfield’s Candle Making for Beginners and had an excellent time. The three hours were very well planned, we made tealights, beeswax candles, moulded candle and a container candle. Sarah was very informative covering colours and scents, wicks, containers and learning about the different waxes you can use. I came away very inspired and eager to try candle making at home. Am going to experiment a bit and then book on to an intermediate course."

"This is the second course I have done with Sarah. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and had the opportunity to make a whole new selection of candles on the second one. Sarah is well organised and very informative and you can see she really likes teaching. The class is structured but relaxed. The time passes really quickly but you manage to make a cross section of candles and I was really pleased with mine. So much so that I have just received a candle making kit as an early Christmas present. I will definitely be signing up to do more."

"I attended both the Christmas workshops and was hooked now have a new hobby for 2020 and will definitely be booking other courses next year. Sarah was a great teacher and we learnt so much about the different waxes and the process in making candles. The course was well planned and we received great instructions to find the place. "I have been on a few Candle by Event courses now and have loved them all. I went on the beginner course, intermediate course and the Christmas one. Sarah is a great teacher and always available for talking through all the mishaps I have tried after the course. She makes you feel at relaxed and comfortable during the courses (as I attend on my own), and always makes sure the information is relevant for those in the room and is a truly encouraging and supportive teacher. I would definitely recommend the array of courses on offer... I will keep attending them as I always learn something new."
