This two-day course provides the opportunity for a more in-depth experience of woodcarving and the completion of a bigger project of your choice. Experienced artists and carvers will enjoy the opportunity to deepen and develop their skills. I can advise and help with the design process and will support the practical and creative process throughout. The minimum age for this course is 12 . I am always very happy to share my experience on woodcarving. This 2 day training course takes place in my woodcarving studio in South Devon which is set-up for teaching children and adults. Trained as sculptor my teaching experience is based on over 22 years of teaching woodcarving and other three dimensional arts and crafts to adults and children. With over 20 years of teaching experience I love sharing my skills and learn from my students. My own artistic work is inspired by the ever-changing and evolving forms in nature and the seasons. Animals and the development of plant forms, are a constant inspiration for me. Working wood with traditional hand tools and techniques is a very rewarding experience. Each piece of wood is different and carving is an inspiring conversation with a unique piece of living material.
