Description

This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to wire wrap a piece of seaglass. By the end of the workshops you'll understand how to use this to create pendants using wire. During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as basic plier skills, 'p' loops, 'eye' loops and two wire wrapping techniques to encase your seaglass. You'll learn using plated wires to practise a few pendants. You can expect to make one pendant complete with one chain and a few loose pendants which you can add chains to yourself. Feel free to bring your own pieces of sea glass from summer trips down the beach if you wish to use these! During this workshop refreshments will be provided. Places are limited to twelve people to allow each individual sufficient time with Lindsay to assist and oversee each project.

What's included in the price?

Use of required equipment/tools. All materials to make at least x4 pendants, with x1 necklace chain provided. On hand experienced tutor to instruct and guide you through the course. Refreshments.

Lindsay Forbes has worked in the jewellery industry since graduating in 3D Design in 2010. Working in a variety of areas from retail to repair, she has a great amount of knowledge in jewellery design and technical skills in goldsmithing. Following her passion for designing and making jewellery she founded her own business; Laconic. Passing on knowledge and skills is something that Lindsay enjoys doing and creating a fun, friendly environment where people can come to relax, be creative and learn and so 'Bench Box' was created!
