Join textile artist Wendy Gray’s loyal following with her latest lino cut, printing and stitch workshop. Create your own design based on a photograph, magazine image or pattern or be inspired by her own design. Select your favourite Lino cut to print onto fabric and creatively embellish it using a variety of colourful embroidery stitches. The end result will be a gorgeous piece of textile art you can be proud of, to frame or integrate into a cushion cover. Wendy inspires you to use some key creative stitches to add colour and personality to your seasonal print. If you have never stitched before, don’t worry – Wendy is a patient and qualified teacher, and if you already know some embroidery techniques, you will find slow stitching in good company mindfully relaxing. The beautifully embellished piece will bring a smile to your face and a sense of pride in your achievements. The workshop includes everything you need. No previous experience required.

Founded in 1906, we are a family firm with shops in York and Harrogate. We specialise in haberdashery and needlecrafting materials and workshops, with an international reputation for stocking over 10,000+ different button designs. Our classes are held in a beautiful beamed room at the top of our medieval building in York and in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley in a converted Victorian double-fronted shop. They are taught by practicing designers and makers with considerable expertise in (and passion for) their respective crafts, and considerable teaching experience.
