This class is for those with basic crochet, this is a chance to hone your skills or revive rusty ones, using a simple crochet pattern devised by tutor Mareike Schmidt. This versatile pouch will keep your phone scratch free and save you having to carry it around all day in your hand. The pattern can easily be adjusted to fit any phone size. It’s also handy for small essentials if you don’t want to carry a large bag. We recommend some basic crochet skills—such as chaining, double, and slip stitching, so it’s a great next step if you’ve attended one of our beginner classes. Our tutor’s pattern stems from her love of experimenting with modern crochet techniques and textures. She will guide you through the process in a stress-free, creative environment. This relaxing sociable half-day crafting session is perfect for those looking to develop their basic crochet skills or refresh rusty ones.

Founded in 1906, we are a family firm with shops in York and Harrogate. We specialise in haberdashery and needlecrafting materials and workshops, with an international reputation for stocking over 10,000+ different button designs. Our classes are held in a beautiful beamed room at the top of our medieval building in York and in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley in a converted Victorian double-fronted shop. They are taught by practicing designers and makers with considerable expertise in (and passion for) their respective crafts, and considerable teaching experience.
