Willow Random Weave baskets for Garden trugs for foraging
Description
Beautiful random weave baskets with a handle. A creative day, making small willow foraging baskets. You will make one or possibly two basket over the day. These lovely unique baskets are easy to make and can be any size you wish, with or without a handle. You will learn to weave a gods eye and embelish your baskets as you wish. You can remain seated throughout the workshop and work on your lap if you prefer not to stand. Working in brown willow (natural green willow that has been dried with its bark on and soaked for a number of days to make it pliable), you will need quite strong hands to twist and weave the willow. Start - 9.30 for 10.00 when tuition begins Finish - 3.30 (Alison will be around for an additional hour to ensure everyone goes home with a finished item they are happy with). A light lunch will be served together with homemade bakes and refreshments. The workshop is suitable for anyone who is new to working with willow as well as those with a little experience.
