Weaving peaframes and hurdles at Usk Castle Chase
Description
This is a great workshop for anyone wanting to weave things with natural materials to benefit their own garden. The pea frames add height and structure and support for tall climbing plants such as sweet peas and clematis or mange tout and runner beans and the low hurdles are perfect for peonies or low plants to nestle against or give protection to areas of the garden. We will begin with the plant support in the morning and if you choose you can make a pair of these and forego the hurdle... or learn how to weave a low hurdle in the afternoon. We will use willow for both projects that I have grown and harvested from one of my willow plots.

Message the tutorI started wyldwoodwillow back in 2001 after weaving for a year or so... It helped me through a particularly difficult chapter in my life and I discovered that I had a burning desire to share the healing nature of weaving. I started teaching workshops fairly early on and weaving pretty much anything I could, currently I weave baskets, coffins, living willow, sculptures and create furniture and decorative fencing for the home and garden. My business is successful and I am a full time weaver.
