Sustainable Botanical Dyeing - A talk with Siân Lester

X

Description

Join local artist Siân Lester for a talk about the sustainable and biophilic approaches to her season-based botanical dyeing, textile art and research. On a global and local level, her visual and socially engaged arts practice focuses on ecology and themes around acts of care, the environment, and the interconnectedness of all things. She will share insights into her work, which reflect deeply tactile, strangely entangled, yet fragile perspectives, rooted within the slower rhythms and cycles of the spaces that surround her. Suggested donation of £5 payable on the door. Lliwio Botanegol Cynaliadwy - Sgwrs gyda Siân Lester Ymunwch â’r artist lleol Siân Lester am sgwrs am yr ymagweddau cynaliadwy a bioffilig at ei lliwio botanegol yn seiliedig ar y tymor, celf tecstilau ac ymchwil. Ar lefel fyd-eang a lleol, mae ei hymarfer celfyddydol gweledol a chymdeithasol yn canolbwyntio ar ecoleg a themâu yn ymwneud â gweithredoedd gofal, yr amgylchedd, a chydgysylltiad popeth. Bydd yn rhannu mewnwelediadau i'w gwaith, sy'n adlewyrchu persbectifau hynod gyffyrddol, rhyfedd, ond bregus, wedi'u gwreiddio o fewn rhythmau a chylchoedd arafach y gofodau o'i chwmpas
