Plastic-smithing: Reusing waste plastic / Ailddefnyddio plastig gwastraff

X

Description

Bronwen Gwillim is an artist and maker who is inspired by the Welsh expression ‘milltir sgwâr’ - or the sense of being embedded in your own square mile. She makes her work from materials, both man-made and natural, that she collects from the immediate vicinity of her home on the South Pembrokeshire coast. In this informative and fun workshop, Bronwen will share her passion for the environment and in particular for reusing waste plastic: turning the ugly and unloved into bold and exciting jewellery and sculptures. You’ll learn about different plastic types and how to use them safely to make things that have a distinct character and meaning. Welsh translation: Artist a gwneuthurwr yw Bronwen Gwillim sy’n cael ei hysbrydoli gan y mynegiant Cymraeg ‘milltir sgwâr’ neu’r ymdeimlad o fod yn rhan annatod o’ch milltir sgwâr eich hun. Mae hi'n gwneud ei gwaith o ddeunyddiau, o waith dyn a naturiol, y mae'n eu casglu o gyffiniau agos ei chartref ar arfordir De Sir Benfro. Yn y gweithdy llawn gwybodaeth a hwyliog hwn bydd Bronwen yn rhannu ei hangerdd am yr amgylchedd ac yn arbennig dros ailddefnyddio plastig gwastraff: troi’r hyll a’r di-gariad yn emwaith a cherfluniau beiddgar a chyffrous. Byddwch yn dysgu am wahanol fathau o blastig a sut i'w defnyddio'n ddiogel i wneud pethau sydd â chymeriad ac ystyr unigryw.
