Sterling Silver Spinner Ring Workshop (Merseyside)
Description
If you are interested in learning how to make your own sterling silver spinner rings, along with learning basic silversmithing skills then this is the course for you. This course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build on the skills they already have. Students will learn how to anneal and shape the metal into the desired ring shapes along with learning how to saw, soldier and cure the different metals before buffing and polishing the finished rings to a high shine finish. The finished rings can be made completely from sterling silver or can be a combination of both Sterling Silver and Copper. The rings can be left plain or texturised to add additional interest. The workshop is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the day, whilst at the same time allowing for students to work independently. The course runs for 3 hours but on occasions can slightly over run to enable students to complete the project they are working on.
