Stained Glass Summer School (5 days) in the Peak District
Description
Stained glass summer school. An exciting opportunity to develop your skills and creativity. Students of all abilities are welcome – including complete beginners. Tuition will cover both copper foil and leaded light techniques although you may choose one or the other or both for your project(s). Over the 5 days you can design and make own chosen projects. One-to-one tuition ensures plenty of assistance. This is a practical workshop using traditional methods and materials. Tutor: Lilian Shaw Lilian trained originally as a painter working in oils and pastels. Her love of light and colour led her to pursue a career as a stained glass artist. She founded her own studio in 1986. She has many varied commissions to her name both in the UK and abroad. These include pieces for private clients, churches and the National Trust. Lilian is an experienced and conscientious tutor with a genuine passion for her craft. Health & Safety This workshop involves the handling and soldering of metals (specifically lead, tin and copper).
