Think you can't paint? Afraid you won't be good enough or believe you have no "artistic" ability? - Then this is the perfect class for you... The pleasure of painting transcends the need for artistic skill, offering a liberating and joyful experience accessible to everyone. Engaging in painting allows individuals to express emotions, explore colours, and create abstract forms without the pressure of achieving perfection. Taking inspiration from the seasons, this class is a gentle introduction to water colour painting where you will discover how to mix colours and learn to let go of the fear of putting brush to paper and simply enjoy the experience. Ruth is a very experienced teacher who offers gentle guidance and encouragement. She focuses her classes on enjoying the process and letting go of any preconceived expectations. No artistic experience required. You may wish to bring along an apron to protect your clothes. Our Studio is in a beautiful converted Oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland. Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself. Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake. "Great courses! There are so many to choose from. I have done cushion making, paper flowers, rope bowls and also the social sewing evening. The tutors are amazing, patient and inspiring. Alison who provides the refreshments is lovely.
