Festive Punch Needle Workshop – Ilkley

Description

Punch Needle is easy to learn, immensely satisfying and limited only by your imagination. So let it run free and create your own festive artwork in this half day class. You will have access to a wide range of colourful yarns and will learn to create a variety of textures to give your project depth. You will start with a practice using four different types of punch needle tool and four different types of fabric. Once you know what works best for you, you’ll move onto a bigger piece with a good knowledge of the technique. If you’ve caught the bug and can’t wait to keep going there’ll be a variety of tools available to buy so you can keep going at home. No previous experience required

What's included in the price?

Light refreshments are available throughout the day, with a break for lunch to explore the lovely cafés of Ilkley if you’re staying for the afternoon session too. Each participant also receives a 10% after class voucher to spend online.

Founded in 1906, we are a family firm with shops in York and Harrogate. We specialise in haberdashery and needlecrafting materials and workshops, with an international reputation for stocking over 10,000+ different button designs. Our classes are held in a beautiful beamed room at the top of our medieval building in York and in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley in a converted Victorian double-fronted shop. They are taught by practicing designers and makers with considerable expertise in (and passion for) their respective crafts, and considerable teaching experience.
