Description

This bespoke workshop offers a wonderful opportunity for a daughter and mother or the bride and mother(/in-law) to create stunning fascinators or hats for a wedding or any other special occasion whilst sharing a fun, creative experience. Participants will receive personalised guidance throughout the process, ensuring that each piece perfectly complements the outfits and reflects their unique style and vision. Pre-Class Consultation: Before the class, we’ll have an in-depth discussion about your ideas, going over the specifics of your design, identifying the materials needed, exploring suppliers, and developing a step-by-step plan to guide us through the process. This initial consultation can be done over a video call or email, allowing us to connect no matter where you are. Materials and Preparation: I’ll provide all essential construction materials, including items like wire, stiffener, buckram, and more but for the best results, you’ll need to source your primary materials, such as the fabrics, felts, and trims that best match your outfit an bring your design to life. I’m happy to offer guidance on sourcing these materials and can suggest reliable suppliers if needed. Workshop Pricing and Duration: The class is £320 for up to a 3-hour workshop, and every hour after that will be charged at a discounted rate of £55 per hour. (For reference: A small fascinator takes about 3 hours and a small cocktail hat takes an average of 6.5 hours to make). During our first consultation, I’ll provide an estimated time frame based on the complexity of your design, so you can plan accordingly. This workshop is priced for two people attending together. Enhance Your Experience: For an added touch of sophistication, consider pairing the fascinator workshop with an afternoon tea or glass or two of bubbly. Alternatively, we could arrange a chic photoshoot with a professional photographer. This combination guarantees a classy and unforgettable experience for the bride and her mother, fostering creativity and bonding as they create beautiful accessories for the wedding day. Pricing and workshop durations may vary depending on the level of assistance required. We will collaborate with you to design a tailored experience that meets your specific needs and preferences.
