Description
This one day 1:1 workshop is an introduction to the technique of fold-forming. We will work predominantly in copper forging, annealing and folding the metal in different ways to create sculptural organic forms. Initially we will be working on a small scale, and sample pieces can be used for earrings, and pendants. These formats can then be used as a basis for jewellery designs and replicated in silver if it is so wished.

All tools will be included. Copper will be included for sample pieces. Silver can be purchased if required.

Maker
I have worked as a jewellery designer and maker for over twenty five years now and as a tutor for around fifteen. My jewellery is inspired by many sources the natural coastal environment in which I live and also by pattern and design that catches my eye. I have worked in trade workshops and studied gemmology which I find really interesting. Now based on Portland, I teach 1:1 classes tailoring classes to individuals needs and small groups of up to six students which run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Also Wednesday and Thursday evenings. I teach an intermediate class on Fridays.
