My "introduction to POWER ASSISTED hand engraving" will focus on the use of the GRS and pulsegraver power assisted hand engraving systems. It will give you an insight into the industry standard equipment used today around the world. To demonstrate this system we will use American style arabesque designs. This course will be ideal for anyone looking to invest into the power assisted systems before making their purchase. We will also look at using the GRS Apex system for graver sharpening. The course will cover: - Plate preparation. - Graver preparation. - Sharpening. - Designs. - Transfer of design to the plate. - Vision aids and additional equipment. - Cutting techniques.

I am a hand engraver using traditional techniques of "push engraving" with a graver, hammer and chisel, and power assist using GRS and Pulsegraver systems. I have studied in Florence Italy, USA, Luxembourg, Belgium and the UK. I have won numerous hand engraving awards over the years and compliment my commission work with teaching which I love.
