6 hours at the anvil getting an introduction to basic blacksmithing at my workshop in Streatham SW London. Learn how to forge hot metal. We start with the basics and you'll be hands on straight away: Tapering, forging and make a useful or sculptural item to take home. Theres no set theme or project to make, instead you decide and then make it.

FAQs

Forging hot metal is hot and can burn your clothes- so it's a good idea to wear something like old jeans heavy cotton/denim and NOT synthetic which can melt. Leather shoes are a good idea too. I've got leather aprons and safety glasses.

There's a few places for lunch just outside the Industrial Estate and a fridge, microwave and tea/ coffee is available throughout the day
