Introduction to MIG welding for artists, Diy'ers and furniture

Types of welds

Description

Learn to mig weld with Conan. Learn about set up, basic welding and joining of mild steel. This course is suitable for beginners to welding and also may appeal to artists, furniture makers and people who like to DIY! We use top of the range Kemppi machines and Speedglas electric welding helmets. By the end of the day you should have enough basic knowledge to start welding your own projects. Thick steel plate, medium and thin gauge sheet material, pipe, tube etc. I’ll explain the power and wire feed settings, gas flow and safety. Welding can be dangerous if not done with adequate care. MIG welding or metal inert gas is easy to pick up, and a strong way of joining mild steel. By the end of the day you should be confident enough to weld a wide variety of things together.
