Garden Stained Glass Panel Workshop

Description

Make yourself a fabulous garden panel using various textured coloured glass. There are designs provided for you to work from. On the day you shall be shown the basics on how to cut glass accurately, setting these colourful pieces into lead and framing it with zinc to make yourself a unique & colourful glassy panel. You can chose to make a hanging panel or to make a free standing panel that goes in the ground but please indicate before attended the workshop which you would like to make. *I am happy to help and give assistance on my courses to people of all abilities but a certain amount of dexterity is required. The processes involved require a certain amount of strength, control and time spent standing. There’s always plenty of glass colours and textures to choose from to fit any colour schemes. Maximum of 3 people on classes ensures lots of help is at hand. No previous is necessary.

What's included in the price?

All materials and tools are included in the cost. A choice of designs will be provided for you. A wide variety of textured and coloured glass for you to choose from. Gloves and goggles and apron are provided. ​ Tea and coffee are provided at any time during the day. Please bring a packed lunch. Please note: We have a no smoking on site policy No previous stained glass experience is necessary. A maximum of 2 participants may attend a workshop. We are unable to accept a booking If pregnant due to health and safety. Long periods of standing at times due to the nature of the workshop. Access to the workshop is via garden with various levels of steps and decking. Please arrive by 9:55 am for a 10.00 am start with a 16:00 finish.

I am a stained glass artist working from my garden studio in Sussex. My work is mainly commission based. I graduated from Eastbourne College of Art and Design with a Society of Industrial Artists and Designers (S.I.A.D.) Diploma in Graphic Design. I undertook training in stained glass art design under the professional guidance of master craftsman Keith Nickels. I run stained glass art workshops throughout the year at my studio for individuals or couples.
