Description

Learn the basics of furniture painting from preparation right through to the finish. We will discuss how to work with both chalk and mineral paint and the different types of brushes and rollers that can be used. We will then move onto the practical side of the workshop; how to prepare your furniture for painting, how to create a professional finish and finally discuss how to care for your furniture so your finish will last. This hands on workshop will give you the skills and confidence to transform your furniture. Our workshop is suitable for beginners, for those who have not used Furniture paint before and for those who would like to refresh their skills. You will be provided with an apron, although please wear old comfortable clothing. Bring your own piece of furniture to work on during the workshop, we advise bringing an item that is easily carried such as a chair or bedside table size. There are plenty of places nearby to grab a light lunch or you can bring one with you. Free Parking is available opposite the shop. Courses run once a month, usually on a Sunday. We can be flexible to accommodate bookings - please contact us for more details.
