Step into the world of repeat pattern block printing with artist, Aprille McShane. Discover how to plan a repeating pattern as you explore how to seamlessly tile your designs to create stunning visuals. Guided by your tutor, you’ll transfer your designs onto A3 coloured paper to create fun and festive wrapping paper. From paper to fabric, your printing block can be used again and again. In this workshop, you’ll not only learn the technical aspects of linocut block printing but also gain insights into the world of surface pattern design. Please note that group bookings are a maximum of 6 people and only requires a single booking (the default is 6 places). Aprille is a visual artist exploring printaking to creates bold floral images on paper and large public art installations. She works from her cosy studio in Sheffield. Her process explores and observes the seasonal changes and the utter hope that flowers bring. As an educator, Aprille has championed individual creativity for over 14 years, she has a knack of taking the 'arty' out of making and encourages you to explore and have a go.
