How do you enhance your pyrography and take it to the next level? Join us for this next steps in Pyrography workshop and find out! This new Pyrography workshop with enhanced features is suitable for those who have previously attended our beginner's workshop or those with some pyrography experience. How do you enhance your pyrography and take it to the next level? The easiest thing is to ‘work’ your piece more, better shading gives a better feel of texture and depth, and using watercolour pencils as shown on the basic workshop. Or, you could start using pigments and flakes, gold leaf and coloured waxes. With flakes, you can add colour that changes with your viewpoint, so the colours change as you move the workpiece, particularly effective with dragons, etc. This workshop will cover and demonstrate all these techniques, and you will have the chance to try out all of these skills including pigments, flakes, leaf and waxes on the day.
What's included in the price?
Tea & coffee, all materials except those for your main piece. There will be a selection of boards, bowls and platters available, the cost of these is £20 - £35 payable to the tutor on the day.

Crafting in the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Lechlade Craft Barn offers craft workshops in the pretty Cotswolds market town of Lechlade on Thames. The Craft Barn is an attractive old stone barn at Karen's home and is the perfect setting to discover and develop your crafting skills. Owner Karen has a long-held passion for crafting, with backgrounds in retail and event management. Along with her workshops, she is joined by a talented team of guest tutors who offer a wide range of craft workshops. The barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails on either side and unfortunately may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Some workshops are delivered nearby in the bright and spacious Memorial Hall complex and other local venues. In addition to published workshops, we also offer bespoke Crafty Parties for Hens, groups of friends and family, special occasions, or any excuse to have a crafty day.
