If you ever feel the need to slow down and just be in the moment, this course is for you. The gentle pace of embroidery is peaceful, mindful and relaxing. During this workshop, you will choose form a variety of patterned fabrics and then pick out the details of the design with colourful embroidery threads. You will be shown how to do different stitches to create your own unique piece of stitched art which you can put into a frame to take home. We have lots of gorgeous colours to choose from and we will provide a frame for your finished piece. The emphasis will be on simply taking your thread for a walk and enjoying colour and pattern. You will learn a selection of these stitches: - Running stitch - Split stitch - Back stitch - Chain stitch - French knots - Fishbone stitch Our Studio is in a beautiful converted Oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland. Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself. Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake.
