Copper Foil 2 Day Workshop in The Cotswolds - Gloucestershire/Wiltshire/Oxfordshire Border

X

Description

This workshop takes place over two days on the 15th & 16th March. This new Stained Glass workshop is ideal for those who would like to make a larger piece of Copper Foil stained glass, and runs over two consecutive days. Using the Tiffany method, this workshop is suitable for beginners and those who have previous experience looking to expand on their knowledge. Everyone will work at their own pace with guidance and inspiration from tutor Sharon. During this 2-day workshop you will have the option of making a garden ornament mounted on a copper rod which can be ‘planted’ in a border, or they can be mounted on to a fence post. Another option is a decorated mirror ready to hang on the wall when you get home. You will have the opportunity to design your own piece (subject to a design discussion and advice – it’s important that the design is achievable in 2 days. Alternatively, you can use one of our designs). This workshop will be limited to a maximum of 8 places, so there’ll be plenty of space to work and lots of individual attention. This workshop runs over 2 days, from 10am – 4pm. As everyone is working at their own pace you may finish early on the second day. Note: please wear closed toe shoes and have long hair tied back. Due to the lead based solder you will be using, this workshop is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or under the age of 16 years.

Crafting in the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Lechlade Craft Barn offers craft workshops in the pretty Cotswolds market town of Lechlade on Thames. The Craft Barn is an attractive old stone barn at Karen's home and is the perfect setting to discover and develop your crafting skills. Owner Karen has a long-held passion for crafting, with backgrounds in retail and event management. Along with her workshops, she is joined by a talented team of guest tutors who offer a wide range of craft workshops. The barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails on either side and unfortunately may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Some workshops are delivered nearby in the bright and spacious Memorial Hall complex and other local venues. In addition to published workshops, we also offer bespoke Crafty Parties for Hens, groups of friends and family, special occasions, or any excuse to have a crafty day.
