Charcoal Sketchbooks: Landscape Across these three days you will be learning how to use sketchbooks to explore and record landscape with the versatile medium of charcoal. We'll gather natural forms and take simple and quick photographs of the beautiful surrounding landscape, bringing these back to the studio to work from. You'll experiment with the different forms of charcoal, erasers, drawing cloths and brushes and learn about how to develop your ideas in a sequence. On the Friday evening there will be an opportunity to make charcoal from driftwood and branches collected from the beach, local woodlands or even just from the grounds of Moor and Sea. While we do the charcoal burn there will be mulled wine and hot chocolate to keep you warm! Your pieces of charcoal will be ready for you to use on Saturday morning!

As well as running her own workshops in stained and fused glass she hosts courses run by other artists in oil painting, batik and Indian miniature painting. These inspirational workshops are held in the lovely airy art studio at Moor and Sea Holidays with beautiful views over Exmoor.
