Canvas Crazy is a made-up name for my new love of hand stitching using a variety of different canvases. As a child I stitched various items with Binca, going on to do several Tapestries and long stitch kits. So, in this workshop I will share some of my creative hand stitching ideas. Hessian or rug canvas with or without pre-printed design. If you have a printed design, this gives you a design to work your stitching on. A blank piece of fabric will give you the opportunity to create your very own sampler using lots of different stitches. There will be an assortment of tapestry wools, yarns, knitting wool, ribbons, threads, cord to make your selection from. There will be a selection of books with a range of stitches to copy. This is a lovely relaxing workshop so just a great way to wind down after a fun packed day at the Festival. Also to give you more inspiration you can perusal my finished work and work in progress. We are happy to welcome all levels of hand stitchers from beginners to those more experienced in the art of creative needlework.
