ANNIE SLOAN ‘ADVANCED’ WORKSHOP ~ RIBCHESTER I will be hosting Advanced Annie Sloan Chalk Paint workshops at my studio ‘Raw Furniture’ in Ribchester, Ribble Valley. I have been upcycling and restoring furniture for 15 years and I have been professionally trained by Annie Sloan down at Oxford HQ to host workshops and teach all there is to know regarding rejuvenating and upcycling your own furniture pieces. On this workshop you will learn all there is to know in using Annie Sloan’s products, mediums and waxes. This class will also enable you to develop your acquired basic and intermediate knowledge into more advanced skills and techniques onto two sample boards. The first sample board will concentrate on classic colours and textures. Techniques will include rough lux, gold leaf, craqueleur, gilding wax, colour blending, frottage and pearlescent glaze. The second sample board will concentrate on modern, contemporary colours and design. Techniques will include masking tape art, ombré, sgraffito, detailed brush work, gilding wax and stencilling. You will also learn wet distressing, soft distressing and finish off the boards by using different waxes to enhance colours and textures. Hi my name is Rebecca and my Raw Furniture studio is based in the village of Ribchester, in Lancashire's Ribble Valley. I am an artist and have been painting furniture for over 15yrs. I have been professionally trained by Annie Sloan down at Oxford HQ to teach how to paint with chalk paint by hosting ‘one to one’ and ‘group’ workshops. I paint for interior design companies in the Ribble Valley, and take on client commissions.
