Silversmithing Jewellery Making Course: Level 1 - Mornings (Merseyside)
Description
If you are interested in learning how to make your own silver jewellery, along with learning silversmithing skills then this is the course for you. The silversmithing course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build on the skills they already have. The course content consists of: 2 weeks learning how to make stacker rings 1 week learning basic stone setting semi-precious stones 2 weeks learning how to make cuff bracelets and bangles 1 week making pattered rings 1 week working on a project piece of your choice based upon some of the skills you have learned from attending the course. The skills you will learn during the course are how to measure, anneal and shape the different metals into the desired jewellery shape, along with learning how to saw, solder and cure the metals before finishing with buffing and polishing them to a high shine finish. This course is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the length of the course, whilst at the same time allowing students to work independently. The course runs for 2.5 hours each week, but on the odd occasion can slightly overrun to enable students to complete the piece of jewellery they are working on.
