Lumen Printing

Description

Make your own lumen print using UV light and botanicals. This is a cameraless alternative way to make prints without using a darkroom and expensive camera equipment. I have an array of dried botanicals for you to use but feel free to bring any flat, translucent objects (pressed flowers or leaves, feathers, interesting patterns, etc.) to make your prints.

What's included in the price?

We will make 2-4 prints during the class. Lumens can fade over time so we will scan them in so you can make multiple prints from them whenever you like.

I run classes which have been featured in Country Loving and Breath magazines. These take places in my she-shed in Twickenham and range from Christmas wreath making to cyanotype printing – “nature's printing press”. As a result of the pandemic, I’ve also started selling DIY creative kits so that you can try these crafts out in the comfort of your own home. It’s been gratifying to see these becoming so popular – my Christmas bauble kit appeared in the Metro and The Sunday Telegraph.
