Description
A friendly, relaxed workshop that explores the use of wire as a way to create 3D structures and will result in a piece of work to take home. This accessible approach to sculpture is a great way to learn about the subject and no previous experience is required making it suitable for all skill levels. Working from reference images/material or your imagination create a wire sketch of your chosen design either free-standing or on a plaster base. Although the process is not particularly messy it is best to wear old clothes. Gloves are available for working with wire or bring your own if you prefer. East Quay is an award winning eclectic art centre set on the coast line of West Somerset, The building houses a cafe, paper making company, geology workshop, many gallery spaces, artist and makers workshops and five overnight accommodation pods perched on the rooftops. The cafe has an imaginative menu and is a great place for coffee, cake or lunch Studio 5 is on the first floor of the building and can be accessed via the staircases or lift. Watchet has a regular bus service from Taunton and Minehead, there is a public car park near the entrance to the East Quay site and additional parking in the town.
