Wire Floral Pendant or Earrings Workshop; Durham
Description
This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create their own set of wire wrapped rings. During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as forming, basic plier techniques and some wire wrapping techniques to create your own floral shapes. Choose to add beads for a pop of colour before transforming these into earrings, brooches or pendants. These techniques will be practised to allow for experiment and play. You can upgrade to sterling silver wire on the day too! Expect to make either 2 pairs of earrings or up to 4 necklaces/brooches. During this workshop refreshments will be provided. Places are limited to twelve people on this workshop to allow individuals sufficient time with Lindsay to assist with each project.

Lindsay Forbes has worked in the jewellery industry since graduating in 3D Design in 2010. Working in a variety of areas from retail to repair, she has a great amount of knowledge in jewellery design and technical skills in goldsmithing. Following her passion for designing and making jewellery she founded her own business; Laconic. Passing on knowledge and skills is something that Lindsay enjoys doing and creating a fun, friendly environment where people can come to relax, be creative and learn and so 'Bench Box' was created!
