Willow Plant Supports Workshop - Willow weaving with Willowtwisters
Description
Looking forward to Spring in the garden? Join us for a morning’s craft, making your very own Willow Obelisk and Peony Cloche. If you prefer, you can make a second mini obelisk instead of a cloche. These natural supports will add a handmade, rustic charm to your garden, growing area. This mini course is a great introduction to working with willow. You will get a feel for the strength and versatility of willow as a material for craft and sculpture. Tea/coffee & light refreshments provided If you have severe arthritis you may find this workshop challenging as we will be working with some thick willow stems. Suitability: Beginners
What's included in the price?
You will need some close fitting work gloves. Secateurs provided but you can bring your own if you prefer. This course is usually but outside (undercover of parachute shelter if light rain) so you will need warm clothes and outdoor footwear. On cold days there will be a fire pit. If the weather is too severe to hold the workshop outside at Weavers Wood it will be held in the pretty church, in Pirbright village. This will be confirmed closer to the day. Tea/coffee & light refreshments provided.
