Description
An opportunity to experiment with watercolour painting under the guidance of artist Helen Clarke. Aimed at all abilities, this workshop will enable you to develop your watercolour techniques. Using birds for inspiration, Helen will guide you through using watercolour, ink and other media (on occasions) create beautiful, seasonal imagery. You will draw and paint from photographs and paint them in a loose, expressive way mixing colours directly on the paper, to capture the character of the different birds. You will learn how to mix colours directly on the paper in a loose and atmospheric way to create paintings which are fresh and lively. The aim of this workshop is to enjoy experimenting with the different materials to see how they can produce unique effects. Helen will demonstrate and give lots of advice whilst also giving you the time to experiment with the techniques learnt. Inspired by the natural world, Helen's aim is to create watercolour paintings which will enhance life and lift the spirit with a fresh light touch. Suitability: ADULTS & AGE 14+. Duration: 2 x 2.5 hours or 1 x 2.5 hours. Book early to avoid disappointment and if the date/time doesn't suit, contact us for a more convenient one.
