Description
Join us for a fun virtual workshop to learn about the traditional Japanese art of kusudama. During the session you will first learn some basic origami folds. You will then be shown how to use these to make beautiful folded flowers from your chosen paper. We love to recycle and work with old book pages, maps, sheet music, magazine pages and even junk mail! You will develop the skills to make further flowers at home and be given suggestions about how you can further decorate and use these. They make lovely gifts, home decorations or even wedding bouquets. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, crafty brides-to-be, your first wedding anniversary (paper) or even just to treat yourself! This virtual workshop is also perfect for businesses looking for an affordable and eco-friendly team activity. We use materials you probably already have at home, so there are no expensive kits to pay for, just a small workshop facilitation fee. If you prefer, this workshop can be taught as an in person workshop where we bring our craft boxes to your venue. Please use the 'message the tutor' function if you would like to discuss this.
What's included in the price?
Facilitation of a virtual craft session for 1 - 99 students via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Written instructions to take away to enable you to make more flowers after the workshop.
What you will need
Students will be sent a list of basic materials required for the class, including paper, adhesive and pegs. Most people will already have these at home and we make use of recycling as much as possible.
