Description

Two day stained glass workshop for those that wish to go further in the art of stained glass. Spend two days with me in my studio developing your skills and design and make your panel. * Even though I am happy to help and give assistance on my courses to people of all abilities , it is a difficult craft needing a great deal of dexterity. The processes involved require a certain amount of strength and control. There will also be a fair amount of standing throughout the day. These workshops are suitable for all beginners who may have some experience or who have attended a one day workshop. Learn how to lead a stained glass panel in the homely, informal setting of Ruth Mullan's artist studio. A two day workshop covers, introduction, design for stained glass, introduction to medium, materials, glass cutting, glass leading and cementing. All equipment and a generous abundance of materials provided to use during the course. You will learn how to draw up your design to scale which is approximately just under A3. You will be able to finish your project within 12 hours during a one day workshop and will be able to take your panel with you.

What's included in the price?

All equipment and a generous abundance of materials are provided to use during the course. Tea and coffee are provided throughout the duration of the workshop. You will need to bring a packed lunch for both days. Aprons are provided however you may wish to bring your own.

I am a stained glass artist working from my garden studio in Sussex. My work is mainly commission based. I graduated from Eastbourne College of Art and Design with a Society of Industrial Artists and Designers (S.I.A.D.) Diploma in Graphic Design. I undertook training in stained glass art design under the professional guidance of master craftsman Keith Nickels. I run stained glass art workshops throughout the year at my studio for individuals or couples.
