1-2-1 Two day stained glass workshop

Description

Two day stained glass workshop for those that wish to go further in the art of stained glass. Spend two days with me in my studio developing your skills and design and make your panel. Even though I am happy to help and give assistance on my courses to people of all abilities, it is a difficult craft needing a great deal of dexterity. The processes involved require a certain amount of strength and control. There will also be a fair amount of standing throughout the day. These workshops are suitable for all beginners who may have some experience or who have attended a one day workshop. Learn how to lead a stained glass panel in the homely, informal setting of Ruth Mullan's artist studio. A two day workshop covers, introduction, design for stained glass, introduction to medium, materials, glass cutting, glass leading and cementing. All equipment and a generous abundance of materials provided to use during the course. You will learn how to draw up your design to scale which is approximately just under A3. You will be able to finish your project within 12 hours over two days, and will be able to take your panel home with you to clean up.

Maker

I am a stained glass artist working from my garden studio in Burgess Hill, Sussex. My work is mainly commission based. I graduated from Eastbourne College of Art and Design with a diploma from the Chartered Society of Designers in Graphic Design. I furthered my career in traditional lead light under the professional guidance of master craftsman Keith Nickels. Throughout the year I run a variety of glass workshops from my garden studio for individuals or couples. It's a relaxed setting for 1 to 3 people and because the groups are small there is a lot of individual attention and help.
