Three months - online tutorials in botanical & natural history coloured pencil drawing with Linda Hampson. For those of you unable to attend Linda’s courses 'in person' we offer the convenience of online tutorials accessible at your leisure. With this three month trial, you can have a taster of our annual monthly subscription by receiving our January, February and March tutorials (all will be sent together for those joining after March): January 2025 ‘Peppers’ February 2025 ‘Sparrows’ March 2025 Budding Magnolia (botanical study) There is no obligation to carry on, no need to cancel, you will simply be offered the chance to continue the year if you wish. We send a new tutorial for each month for the period of your subscription, building your skills and repertoire across the spectrum of botanical and natural history coloured pencil drawing. If you have never put pencil to paper or are keen to improve this course is for you. Coloured pencil is a marvellously versatile medium and it is genuinely an easy medium to master when you have learned the basic techniques. Linda invites you to join her for a series of workshops specifically using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. You will learn how to layer and blend and various other ‘tricks’ and techniques from flowers to fur. You will be sent an instructional video tutorial for each of the courses, usually approximately 2-3hrs long. You can pause and resume at each chapter, rewind or repeat as much as you like, making it easy to fit around your schedule. All you need is your Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, drawing paper and a few pencil case items (you will be sent a detailed list for each course). We also send written notes and outline drawings as well as reference images. We invite you to share your outcomes with Linda and of course be in touch if you have any concerns or need help by email for the duration of the course. Beginners and improvers are most welcome. Tutorials often focus on our beautiful Devon wildlife and for every course purchased 5% will be donated to Devon Wildlife Trust helping continue their work to enhance and conserve our precious Devon landscape and wildlife. "I attended a one day coloured pencil workshop with Linda Hampson at the Old Kennels in September 2021. It was a lovely day with teaching taking place in the barn and lunch outside in the gorgeous surroundings. It was obvious that great care had been taken to ensure that everything was Covid safe so the atmosphere was relaxed. I am new to coloured pencils and I learnt so much. The accompanying video is a great idea because you can practice what you learnt at home. I will be attending future workshops in 2022."

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course and definitely recommend it to anyone. I checked the link early and ordered a few pencils in and made sure I had some paper etc. around the house before I sat down to start. I spent a few hours on a rainy Sunday sketching in the company of the lovely tutor via pre-recorded video and I loved it. The course provides written instructions, extra details and the pre-recorded video that you can stop, rewind and re-play as many times as you need. I have never done anything quite like this and I was genuinely pleased with what I produced, even though I didn't think for one minute I would be. If you're not sure, just give it a go!"
