Description
Nicki and Brian love teaching a variety of willow weaving courses in the beautiful Surrey Hills near Dorking. The course starts with a cup of tea or coffee on arrival and an introduction to willow, where it is grown, its preparation and the different varieties you can weave with. We then take you through the process of making the basket step by step which is 39cm wide and about 8-9cm deep. Learning trac borders and 3 rod waling it is a great course for beginners and a perfect introduction to weaving willow. We will be working with three different varieties of willow that are available at the time of your course. The Lazy Susan then becomes the center piece for those wonderful get together's for birthdays, Christmas and dinner parties.
What's included in the price?
All materials are included from the base which we have drilled and sanded in preparation, to the willow that we have sorted and soaked. Use of all tools. Teas, coffees, herbals and nibbles are included
