STAINED GLASS PANELS FOR HOME AND GARDEN

X

Description

Stained glass days in Leighton Buzzard. Have a wonderful day learning the art of stained glass in the stunning Victorian grounds and home of 'The Borrowers', which was conceived and written here based on the buildings! Make new friends as you work on high purpose-built benches so your back doesn't ache...low tables don't work well with stained glass. My workshops are for beginners and improvers and for people who don't think of themselves as being 'arty'! You will always leave with a completed project. I look forward to welcoming you to a one or two day workshop. There are various types of workshops including: * Leaded stained glass: indoor and garden panels. * Copper foil stained glass: 2D and 3D items. * Mosaic stained glass: mirrors, coasters, and glass on glass available at request. Anna Conti has been taking on commissions for homes, schools, churches, public buildings and businesses for over 35 years. She runs regular stained glass classes and lectures on stained glass. Her first commissioned work was for Sir Richard Branson, chairman of the Virgin Group, and she has appeared on television on 'This Morning' as Richard and Judy's 'stained glass expert'!

What's included in the price?

There is a limit of eight people per leaded panel workshop and ten for copperfoil and mosaic, which enables good tuition, and each student will take home up to five items that they have created that day, depending on their chosen project. Price includes the use of tools and materials plus unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day. There is small charge for reds, dark purples, and some special glass, but this is optional. Please bring a packed lunch and a mug. All ages welcome from 16 up (for younger children, please contact me). A memorable day guaranteed!

FAQs

Everything you have made on the day! You will take home the magnificent leaded panel you have made. You'll be able to hang or prop it up in your home or even install if you ask when booking. If it's for the garden, you will be able to add stakes or loops to hang it by.

You will be sent a list of a few basic household items to bring. Otherwise, all tools and materials are provided.

At Leighton Middle School in the centre of the town and the high street just a 2 minute walk away. The workshop is run in a large purpose - built Design and Technology room with high benches (and stools to take a break on) so you don't end up with backache which is very important if you are working with stained glass and want to enjoy a class! There are separate areas away from your bench for soldering and an area to make your hot drink.

It's free and right next to the workshop on the premises.

Yes, you don't have to have an artistic bone in your body! Templates are provided on one day workshops. Just go with your instincts and chose the colours and textures you like and make a beautiful item.
