Silk painting is a beautiful and expressive art form that uses vibrant dyes to create stunning, flowing designs on silk. Originating from ancient textile traditions, this technique allows artists to explore color blending, pattern, and brushwork on delicate silk. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to apply silk dyes, use gutta resist to define shapes and experiment with different painting techniques to create your unique piece of art. I will also provide you with a light vegetarian lunch, so please do advise of any dietary requirements via the 'message the tutor' button. This relaxed and inspiring workshop will be led by Stephanie, a multi-media artist, who has worked with liquid glass, silver and clay.
