Sewing Machine Workshop for Beginners & Refreshers

With expert seamstress/dressmaker Pat Stevens. This class is perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to make sense of how to use a sewing machine. You will: • Learn your way around the workings, parts and components of a sewing machine. • By the end of the workshop you will have a made your first two makes - a make up brush holder and a tissues case. • Learn how to set up and thread a machine and how to wind a bobbin. • Learn how to set the correct tension. • Learn how to sew straight seams. • Changing the needle. • You will practice some stitching in order to gain the skills you need to tackle your future projects.
What's included in the price?
No need to bring anything - all equipment and material provided. We have Janome sewing machines on site. Do bring a notebook in case you wish to jot down ideas. There is a follow up class you can book that will take place one month later, on the 1st March.
