Set of silver stacking rings workshop - St Andrews
Description
Times vary - see below Come along and learn how to saw, solder, form and texture your own silver rings from scratch! In this workshop, you will create a set of three textured skinny rings that can be stacked together or worn separately. Beginning with a demonstration, you will be shown how to make, clean and texture a silver ring. Talking through the instructions and various information and tips regarding the materials you are working with, and introducing a range of tools and a handheld blowtorch which you will go on to use yourself! We will start by sizing your chosen fingers, calculating and measuring the wire needed to create them. We will then saw and shape the rings ready to solder. Once soldered we will clean the rings and form them into a true ring shape, and add your chosen hammered texture. Once fully formed and textured, we will scrub and polish the rings, ready to wear home that evening. The perfect class for an individual or a group of friends to come and learn, socialise and most importantly, to make some jewellery to take home! The workshop will run for around 2.5 hours but it can vary. The listings do not support variable time slots, so please check your time slot below: Please note, that this class will need 4 people to run.
