Description

**Please book by Monday 18th November, as specialist materials will need to be ordered in advance.** Easter and chocolate just go together. Try something new this Easter and make your own beautiful and tasty homemade Chocolate Easter Eggs and other chocolate treats from great quality raw ingredients. This Raw Chocolate making workshop, for the whole family, is part of a series of creative short workshops with Peggy Beer, who runs the local food business Eldertree. This workshop enables you to make the things you love in a more natural and healthy way. Your tutor Peggy will give a short introduction covering the backgrounds of chocolate whilst you enjoy an authentic hot chocolate drink. Then we will dive straight into the chocolate making and you will learn how to make your own Raw Chocolate Easter Chocolates with just a few, easy to source, healthy ingredients. Experiment by adding fruit, nuts and other flavours and turning the chocolates into different shapes with the moulds provided. Learn how to wrap and package your chocolates and turn them into beautiful presents too. Please bring your own chopping boards and storage containers to take your chocolates home in. Peggy will provide all the ingredients, which are wherever possible organic. If you have specific ingredients you would like in your chocolate eggs please bring them, as well as any sweets or other items you would like to fill your eggs with, if you are planning to make hollow chocolate eggs. Raw Cacao is an Amazonian Superfood that has over 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries, which absorb free radicals that can otherwise lead to cell and tissue damage and can cause cancer. It has more Calcium than cow’s milk and is a natural mood elevator and anti-depressant.
