Description
Weekly beginners sewing classes at the fabulous and well stocked cheekyhandmades' studio. 1.5 hours of fun, techniques, creativity and projects every Monday from 4 - 5.30 for beginners, 6-7.30 for intermediate students. There are also separate weekend classes 18/1 (and every other Saturday after that) and holiday classes too. These are to be booked separately as they are longer and therefore more expensive, just send me an enquiry via the 'message the tutor' button. Taught by the lovely Cloud, who has just graduated from the London College opf Fashion and already has a wealth of teaching experience under their belt. Cloud is friendly, helpful, encouraging, and fun! A very welcome addition to the Cheekyhandmades' family. Cloud is DBS registered and has been working with children for years. The classses will see kids making clothes, accessories, etc, and getting a thorough grounding in sewing skills. All materials, use of machines and other tools are included in the price. Before the first class we will ask you to fill in a detailed contact form. Please note we would love to know in advance if your child has any needs such as dyspraxia or sensory processing issues, so we can take this in to account. All ND and neurotypical kids welcome, it is just good for us to be able to tailor things slightly. Please note your child will need to be able to reach the sewing machine pedal sitting on a normal chair. If they are slightly too short please let us know (via the 'message the tutor' button) and we can try to improvise, but we will need to know this in advance
What's included in the price?
I have sewing machines for everyone to work on but feel free to bring your own. Just remember the power supply and pedal! I work from my garden studio which has all the machines, threads and over lockers we need. I do have cats, so if you are allergic you may need some antihistamine (which I also have). Parking is controlled so be aware of this. I can sell you a voucher. I am also near buses and not far from the tube and overground. My studio isn't accessible to those with mobility issues as it is down steep-ish outside stairs into my garden. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
