Join Artist and Wood Sculptor Ruth Wheeler at her Birtley Woodland Art Space in Bramley or Yew Tree Garden Studio, or the art block at Barrowhills School Witley, Surrey to be inspired and learn the basics of Pyrography Art. Ruth has been developing her Pyrography for over 17 years and has been teaching Wood Carving ,Art and mixed media for 23 years. You will learn about different woods that lend themselves to pyrography and learn different techniques as well as pain application. Ruth's signature ferns, birch trees and sea and landscapes will be demonstrated as well as guiding you with your own designs. We discuss his you can finish your work to seal the pyrography and paint applications. Ruth's flexible approach means that you can have the freedom to be creative , choose your wood, shape or design or be inspired by Ruth's Nature Inspired work . You will leave this workshop with the confidence to buy the right Pyrography machine and what wood to use as well as how to finish a beautiful piece of art.
