Pot Throwing Taster evening session

Ever wanted to have a go at 'throwing a pot'? We have all seen the movies and watched the Youtube videos in wonder as the potter shapes and forms the clay into a fantastic pot before our very eyes! If you would like to have a go, roll up your sleeves and get on down here! Why not bring a friend? Or two? Ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, team building, groups, date nights, hen parties...in fact who needs an excuse...get on down here, have some fun and learn a new skill too! Open to beginners, this 1hr pot throwing taster session is an ideal introduction to throwing pots. Once you have made your pot you will need to allow 10-14 days for them to dry and be fired. You can then either collect the bisque fired item and paint with acrylic (or similar) paints at home, or you can join any 'drop in' session to return to the studio for a second session to glaze them (pay per session). Once fired a second time, the pots will then be ready for collection. We normally post pictures of all finished pots on our facebook page so do remember to 'like' the page and you will see when your pot is ready to be collected. You are welcome to take as many pot throwing taster sessions as you wish, however, we also offer flexible 3hr sessions where you can really roll your sleeves up and practice a bit more. A great fun day out with friends! Please note that these pot throwing sessions are for adults, see our other listing for children (6+). You will need to wear comfortable shoes and warm, old clothes suitable for working in a pottery studio. Please bring: * An apron. * Old towel (plus plastic bag to take home in!) * Any refreshments you may need (there is a cafe on site but please check your workshop times against opening hours).

What's included in the price?

By the end of the taster session, you should have a pot to be dried, fired and then two weeks later, ready for collection.
