Description
This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create their own personalised metal stamped gifts for Christmas. During this workshop you'll learn basic metal stamping techniques such as stamping straight, freehand, using guides and how to use letter and design stamps. You'll then be able to start creating your own bangles, rings, pendants, keyrings and much more in aluminium. You can expect to make up to 5 items (less than a tenner per gift), with a maximum of 3 large items (bangle/bookmark/keyring). On the day a small selection of sterling silver shapes will be provided if you wish to upgrade, these start from £5 each. During this workshop refreshments will be provided. Places are limited to ten people on this workshop to allow individuals sufficient time with Lindsay to assist with each project.

Lindsay Forbes has worked in the jewellery industry since graduating in 3D Design in 2010. Working in a variety of areas from retail to repair, she has a great amount of knowledge in jewellery design and technical skills in goldsmithing. Following her passion for designing and making jewellery she founded her own business; Laconic. Passing on knowledge and skills is something that Lindsay enjoys doing and creating a fun, friendly environment where people can come to relax, be creative and learn and so 'Bench Box' was created!
