Painted Collage inspired by Staffordshire Pottery with Louise Adams

X

Description

Join Louise in the Staffordshire Moorlands for a creative day of painting and collage inspired by beautiful Staffordshire ceramics. We'll be looking at colour, backgrounds, pattern and composition as we create lively and decorative works, with painted backgrounds, papers and collage. We'll paint and collage onto A3 boards. Inspiration will be wide, from traditional blue & white printed pots to hand painted Clarice Cliff Art Deco wares, refined 1950s tiles to colourful painted flowers. Teaching is individual, with plenty of examples to see. Louise can help and support you, whatever stage you are at. Louise trained as a Surface Pattern designer at North Staffordshire Polytechnic, then at the Royal College of Art where she studied Ceramics, leading to work in the ceramics industry, latterly as Art Director at the Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company. She now works back in the Staffordshire Moorlands where she grew up, as a designer, artist and teacher. This day combines Louise' passion for the history of ceramics, painting, flowers and collage.
