Learn how to make a capsule range of organic skincare products for yourself, family or friends, using natural and organic ingredients to achieve healthy, glowing and radiant skin! Allison is a beauty and massage therapist and specialises in organic skincare, using natural, organic cosmetic ingredients to create wonderful skincare products that are gentle and effective. She is passionate about sharing her skills and knowledge to enable and empower students to create their own skincare products and holds introductory workshops in Reedham, Norfolk. Here’s what this hands on, creative, fun, and informative training includes! You will: - Make your own organic facial or body care products suitable for your skin type. -Learn about wonderful natural and organic ingredients: shea, mango and cocoa butter. Specialist plant oils such as borage, rosehip, argan, hemp. Macerated oils such as calendula, comfrey, and fragrant hydrosols from flowers and herbs, beeswax and vegan friendly waxes, clays and essential oils. -Learn about preservatives and emulsifiers acceptable to Ecocert and Cosmos standards. -Learn to make hydrous, anhydrous and emulsified skincare products and understand the role of antioxidants, emulsifiers and preservatives. -Take away the full size organic products you have made on the day, worth approx £80, based on similar organic products sold on the high street, an information packed handbook covering everything included in the day, plus many more formulas to try out at home. You will make four products, choosing from the following: -A beautifully aromatic multi tasking hot cloth cleansing balm containing rosehip oil. - A hydrating and soothing rose or neroli toner/spritzer using hydrosols, glycerites and soothing extracts. - A luxurious, high performance, rejuvenating facial oil. - A clay mask using a dry blend of clays, with dried fruit and aloe vera powders. - A nourishing moisturising lotion or cream. - A solid lotion bar, whipped body butter or bath truffles. The ingredients used in the products you make on the day will be suitable your skin type. What's included in the price?
Included in the price are all the ingredients used on the day: essential oils, butters, waxes and plant oils. Recyclable packaging for the products you have made, an information packed handbook with more formulas to practice the skills you've learned and make products for yourself, family and friends at home, and a certificate of attendance. Just bring an apron! Organic, fair trade tea and coffee will be provided. Disposable gloves, masks and aprons are also available, but please bring a packed lunch as lunch is not provided.
